Additional interests
Enthusiastic and passionate educator with a strong background in applied linguistics, leveraging linguistic theory and research to enhance foreign language acquisition, ESL instruction, and multilingual learning in higher education. My goal is to promote language learning and linguistic awareness by igniting curiosity and enthusiasm in college and adult students, while empowering them to think critically, independently, and analytically as they navigate their academic journeys and develop their L2+ identities.
I am a fierce advocate for critical pedagogy informed by scientific and evidence-based research, with a focus on equity, inclusivity, and sustainable social justice in education. My work is dedicated to fostering transformative learning experiences that empower marginalized communities and deepen students’ understanding of linguistic processes, language variation, and cross-cultural communication. Through applied linguistics, I aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, creating meaningful, research-driven language learning experiences that support diverse learners.
